Amanda Fox is the epitome of creativity in her teaching. She shares her knowledge with others and offers advice when she sees something that can be improved upon. Fox stays up to date on the latest technology and its uses, which feeds her creative mind. Her name is becoming common place in the world of education, and I imagine we will see much more of her in the future!

Amanda presented so many rich ideas. It is like eating mini snickers and wanting to eat them all! She definitely gave me nuggets that I can practice and apply in my own Math classroom. Thank you Amanda for a job well done. It is evident you have a passion for what you do.

In 2015 I was in the beginning of my first teaching job. I began researching the flipped classroom and decided that this was the hidden gem I was looking for. There was only one problem, I had no idea what a flipped classroom was actually supposed to be like.

I began researching people in my area who had flipped successfully. I found about half a dozen individuals and emailed them all. Amanda Fox was one of two who responded and the only one who offered any type of advice.

After communicating via email and watching some of her YouTube videos we made arrangements for my co teacher and me to come observe her in action. We spent the entire day with our jaws literally on the floor. Amanda Fox and the entire staff at her school were mind blowing. After school we had a Q&A session with Amanda and her principal. The information gained that day literally changed my career.

However, Amanda didn’t stop there. She made arrangements to meet us the following day to continue to discuss flip and allow us to pick her brain. We were able to ask questions about any and everything flip related. Before we left Amanda showed us tons of resources she uses in her classroom, most of which I still use today!

I continued to stay in touch with Amanda and she is always willing to answer any question I throw her way. As if things couldn’t have gotten more amazing, Amanda used her personal time to come to my school (five hours away) and present a back to back double session on flipping and tech. The PD was out of this world and I know it had a tremendous impact on those who were willing to keep an open mind and receive it.

My career as an educator was dramatically altered thanks to the time Amanda Fox invested. The strategies, tools, and ideologies she shared with me have had and will continue to have a significant impact on the way I teach, the way I operate a classroom, and the way I share ideas with my peers. Amanda Fox is an innovative, one of a kind of educator and any student or teacher lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with her should take full advantage of it!
